September 25, 2010 – Tarboro Artists Guild “Painting the Town” – an exhibit
featuring members of the Tarboro Artist Guild, focuses on Tarboro’s 250th
Birthday. Gallery reception sponsored
by Edgecombe Arts and the 250th Birthday Committee Thursday,
August 19, 5:30 – 7:30, at which time the painting chosen for the
commemorative celebration poster will be

September 10 –
October 24 – Collector Bob Newton from Farmville shares his exhibit of the
East Carolina Railway, the arts council’s annual historic exhibit, a feature
of History Day, Sat., Sept 25.

Tarboro’s History Day! Starting at 10
am on the grounds of Blount Bridgers House, a full day of fun focusing on the
history of Tarboro as the 250th birthday celebration continues.
The festivities move to the Town Common at 3 pm as the birthday party ,
“semiquencentennial jamboree” gets underway. History Day article. -

2010 - Great Tarboro Art Bazaar – Members-Only Gala preview party Thursday,
November 4, 5:30 – 8:30. Open to
public November 5- 28. Gallery hours are 10 am – 4 pm Wednesday through
