What does Edgecombe Arts do?

  • Operates and maintains the historic Blount-Bridgers House, the Hobson Pittman Memorial
  • Gallery and Studio, and the Pender History Museum
  • Assists in the development of the Blount-Bridgers Garden
  • Coordinates/sponsors Happening on the Common, a community arts festival in May on Tarboro’s historic Town Common
  • Sponsors performing arts that showcase local and national talent
  • Develops local/regional art exhibits
  • Conducts children’s educational workshops/art classes
  • Sponsors and promotes cultural events throughout Edgecombe County
